Walk the Freedom Trail the first time you visit Boston and you'll quickly get a sense of this coastal city's revolutionary spirit and history. But make sure you also explore some of Boston's fine museums (try the Isabella Stewart Gardner, featuring masterpieces displayed in their collector's mansion) and old neighborhoods (like the North End, Boston's Little Italy). You can't claim to have experienced real Boston culture, though, until you've watched a Red Sox game from the bleachers.

Improv Asylum is a comedy theater that features improvisation and sketch comedy. We’ve been described as Whose Line is it Anyway? meets Saturday Night Live!. Improv Asylum is located in the heart of the North End, within short walking distance from Faneuil Hall and is easily accessible via public transportation. There is a $3.00 service charge per ticket on all phone orders. Advance ticket sales are recommended. We are a smoke-free establishment with no minimum drink requirement.
Good friends of mine from the Boston area (who happen to be sketch comics) told me this place was the place to visit in Boston for a fun show w/ friends. So we booked that first show and now (over 5 more Boston trips later) I have never been in Boston and not hit up the Improv Asylum.. it's a must. From the cool "underground" vibe to the super talented comedians, it makes for a fun night out. They have a small bar too and get drink orders pushed out quick. There is normally an intermission too to re-up on drinks or run to the bathroom. Get there if you can, you're welcome! *Also, spring the extra few bucks for the front row, they just might call on you to get involved.
