The Czech Republic's most famed spa destination, Karlovy Vary - or Carlsbad - saw 200 spa houses sprout by the end of the 1500s. The springs in this idyllic, lush, peaceful Tepla valley are said to cure an almanac's worth of metabolic and gastric issues. Visitors still flock to this town of Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings. Five beautiful Colonnades straddle hot springs where visitors try aquatherapy and drink the mineral-rich water. The town also has a respected international film festival.

This small museum traces the history of Karlovy Vary through exhibits on local culture, industry and activities.
This museum is amazing. It has 2 floors. 1st floor is dedicated to the history of city Karlovy Vary and the 2nd floor is about the history and nature of the Karlovarsky region. Both exhibitions are great. There are many interactive screens (in English and in Czech language) There are objects you can touch. It is really an interactive museum that kept us entertained for a long time - we've spent there more than 3 hours. It is a great place to visit (even for children). I would definitely visit this museum again.

I am a big fan of this glass making manufacturer. This was possibly one of the most memorable museum experiences. The museum is very informative and involves very rare exhibits and beautiful design pieces. The factory itself is a must as well to ad on. Amazing to see hands on the whole process and get information how is it done.

Love the place. Though it requires ticket entering the house, you would not regret after entering. 1. There are many teddy bears, really a lot. I don't think I have ever visited a place with that much teddy bears. 2. It definitely brings kids a lot of happiness. Very cozy place. 3. The teddy bears are so unique and different. Kind of sad when I realize I cannot bring them home. The souvenirs shop has so little teddy bear. 4. The place is kind of far away from the city center, I recommend driving to Christmas house or you need to walk at least 1 and a half hour to the city center

SUPERMARKET wc is a design gallery that was created by a reconstruction of public toilets and left-luggage in the centre of Karlovy Vary. On a surface limited to only 43 m2, the gallery offers a cafe with Wi-Fi connection, a WC, a design shop and the opportunity to create one’s own product or to take part in a workshop or a lecture. A subway right next to the gallery is a non traditional exhibition area that directly communicates with people going through it, as well as the cafe’s front garden. An original building is a barrier-free space for many activities.
