Gympie Bone Museum

The Gympie Bone Museum is Australia's first and only museum dedicated entirely to the art and science of modern bones and skeletons. The Gympie Bone Museum intends to grow into a world class facility for the study and teaching of comparative anatomy as well as a tourism destination. Ever since it was just the bare bones of an idea, the community response has been enthusiastic and overwhelmingly supportive. It’s time for Gympie to shine as a regional hub for science, innovation and tourism. Gympie Bone Museum - come and see what you'll look like later

All sorts of exhilbits from old Gympie. We had no idea the gold field were so extensive. There are maps and artifacts from mining, gold processing, domestic life, wartime and more. The industrious volunteers were happy to show us all sorts of things. Definately recommend this.

This museum is truely amazing. Located right at highway. Ticket is very cheap, $7/adult, my kid under 5 is free. The museum displays many different kind of wood, tools and machines. There is a giant piece of wood that more than +600 years. Can’t imagine how big this tree was. Bond museum is my most favarious part which displays human bond and animal bond. The guy working here is super friendly and useful. He explains everything very details. Basically, I have learned a lot after the visit. I think this place is very useful for education.
