Located on the east coast of Belize at the mouth of the Belize River, Belize City sits on a peninsula jutting into the Caribbean Sea. As the nation's main port, the city is a hub for cruise ships and is often a jumping-off spot for excursions to other parts of Belize, including the Cayo District's caves and Maya archaeological sites along the Macal and Belize rivers. Belize City boasts the only manual swing bridge in the world and the oldest Anglican cathedral in Central America.

This is the oldest Anglican Church in Central America.
Very good guided tour by the volunteer docent. Well worth the donation charge to learn some of the history of this old church.

Amazed at the room that up to 6 people would share. A great history lesson on the slaves and the creole language. I always wondered why their accent sounded very close to a Jamaican patois.

By the end of Savannah Nature Trail in Orchid Garden Eco-Village, there is a spacious house; one of the most beautiful building in Belize, there are exhibited the collection of bottles found in Belize, and hundreds of “Nature’s Artistry in Root and Stone” , and a number of paintings described as “Expressions of Belize”.
