The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

Insane value for money, where I live cinema tickets are really expensive so this place is great providing all the latest films for great prices. Also really nice old school decor gives it a really retro vibe and real cinema experience xx

We decided to try Everyman Cardiff as our first cinema outing post-lock-down! It was nice and quiet [Sunday evening] and so social distancing was not a problem. You have to order at the bar [rather than table service] now, to minimise contact I assume. Cinema was lovely, comfortable seats and good position. We didn't notice poor sound or projector noise, but we were sat in the front few rows, not at the back. Toilets were clean, the hygiene regime seems spot on - automatic hand sanitisers, automatic doors/flushes/taps etc. My only critique would be the service. All the staff were very pleasant, but there wasn't much 'explanation' as to how the drinks/food ordering worked and nobody checked our tickets. Before the film started a lady explained if we had any questions we could go to her - but then she left the screen and we didn't see her again. You had to go to the bar to get drinks / food and this led to people getting up quite a lot - could be disruptive at a busier screening. Drinks were also quite steep I thought - £12 for a beer and a cider. Overall, I think it's worth the extra money for the setting, quietness, and comfy seats - however, if you're having food/drinks it could be an expensive trip out.

My husband and I visited this cinema while on a weekend break in Cardiff. We had tickets for the gallery and were blown away by the service and what was included. I knew you got unlimited drinks but I didn’t expect to be able to help myself to bottles from the fridge! We also had popcorn, nachos and quality streets! Well worth the extra money and the staff were superb.
