Nice hotel, nicer staff

The Volendam people are rather stubborn but I’m rather used to that being a West-Frisian… However that (in)famous attitude does not reflect in the professional and personal approach from the staff. I will choose Spaander again should I go back to Volendam.

Reviewed By nicholasw112Good room with great views. Excellent breakfast. Lots of places to choose from close by for drinks or food. Boat trip to Marken departs short walk from hotel. Plenty of clog, cheese and Tulip shops also close by.

Nice park and location, friendly staff
Reviewed By ChrisEastleighAs a holiday park, you get the perfect balance of peaceful location but nearby to Volendam and short bus ride to central Amsterdam. The supermarket is handy, swimming pool clean and the pool/darts bar was fun. Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The accommodation was more basic than I would have hoped for or expected. Uncomfortable lounge furniture, no oven, mediocre bed comfort, poor room lighting and small TV screen. The home was clean but not spotless. The doors didn’t seem particularly secure. Small improvements would really help build the guest experience.

Mooi en net hotel
Reviewed By MdV1992Mooie ruime en schone kamer met badkamer. Super centrale ligging in Volendam. Je loopt overal zo heen. Als je niet op stap wil zou ik kiezen voor een ander hotel aangezien het hotel boven en tussen de kroegen zit. Als je wel op stap wil is het de perfecte plaats om te overnachten.

Overnight in a unique location on the harbor centrally located on the vibrant and lively dijk. Our four rooms are compact and authentically furnished and offer all the standard mod cons including free WIFI.
Lovely staff
Reviewed By 123stevewatI stopped in for a drink on Sunday 18th and it ended up being many the staff were brilliant, helpful and very friendly. Also the next day I went in for coffee and Audrey was very nice and let me keep my small, but heavy bag there for a while, while I went for a wander. This was greatly appreciated.

Reviewed By Jeroen STo start of on a positive note, great location and the room and bathroom seemed clean. No to the negatives; - Room had no athmoshpere, - Only 1 chair for a double room, - windows could not be opened/closed manually, which closed at 0530 and woke us up. - Windows had no curtains / coverage so it got bright already early in the day. - Restaurant was closed (no breakfast possible) - Shower-head was leaking and no curtain, so the toilet area got flooded.
