Reviewed By GraitudeZoneThis 18th-century home in the sleepy town of Tacoronte, just minutes from the spectacular Mesa del Mar beach, is warm, authentic and wonderfully original. The ambience is unique and inspiring. A blend of big, bright paintings and collections of everything from Reader’s Digests to pottery to airplane-size liquor bottles. The owner and hostess, Lanchi, is a true gem. She recommended a number of local restaurants for us, accommodated our timings and food requests with ease and a smile, and made countless thoughtful and kind gestures to ensure we felt welcome and at home. Our generous room was inside the main house. The weather was uncharacteristically warm, but we were able to open windows and the door to keep the air moving overnight. The bed was big and comfy. WiFi worked great. Breakfast was a highlight. Fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and marmalades, delicious Canarian cheese, and Lanchi’s warm hospitality — plus her exquisite treats from the kitchen. This is not the place for travelers accustomed to all-inclusive accommodations. But if you’re looking for a very special experience on a very special island, we would highly recommend a few days with Lanchi at Casa Casilda.

A pleasant spot in in the countrysitside outside Tacotonte
Reviewed By Richard CEl Pastel is an attractive hotel set in pleasant rural grounds. To get there you need a car or a taxi. We chose a simple room for our 3 nights and it really WAS simple, with no table or chairs in the room, although there was basic furniture on the balcony, which had great views to the ocean. The bathroom was very modern and well-equipped (but no hairdryer) and the room had masses of storage space, although as so often there were only FOUR clothes-hangers in the wardrobe. The breakfast is well worth the 10 euros extra that they charge per person: lots of fresh produce, including freshly squeezed orange juice from fruit just picked from their own trees. There is no buffet and no breakfast menu to choose from but we were happy with what was provided. The Pastel's biggest disadvantage is its remoteness, outside Tacoronte. The hotel serves only breakfast and for other meals you need a car as there is nothing within walking distance. You have the option of taking an apartment (more expensive) and doing self-catering, but if you just take a room there isn't even a kettle to make a hot drink. The other disappointment is the absence of staff. Someone was there to check us in BY PRIOR APPOINTMENT and after that we saw only the woman who serves breakfast briefly each morning, who was very friendly and helpful. We were told to ask any questions by WhatsApp! Reception was always empty. We arrived after dark and the hotel was difficult to find, although in daylight there are direction signs if you know where to look. Beware: what looks like a swimming pool in photos on the internet is actually a smallish hot tub.

Lovely and comfortable house
Reviewed By Annikki KWe stayed with our family in Casa Adelantado to celebrate my aunt and uncle's wedding anniversary. The house was spacious and comfortable to host all 8 of us. Each of the rooms is lovely decorated and has its own bathroom. The garden was a beautiful place to sit in - private and quiet, with many plants surrounding it. There are hardly any tourists around Tacoronte, which was a big plus for us as well. Last but not least the owner is a very friendly and helpfull guy, who showed us his bonsai trees with great enthusiasm. Highly recommendable!

Llegamos por la tarde y nos atendió con una simpatía y una amabilidad exquisita nos enseñó la casa y las habitaciones y todo estaba sorprendentemente limpisimo.... Y nos explicó los restaurantes de los alrededores..... En definía nuestra estancia estuvo muy bien.... Lo recomiendo

Неплохой отель особенно расположение и дальность от моря отличный вид на море. но неудобно в смысле спуска к морю- крутой.завтраки хорошие а вот обед и ужин надо организовывать самим и ходить подальше от отеля в соседние местечки.которые очень красивые и где есть много маленьких ресторанов. для тихого отдыха семейного неплохо.персонал старается.
