My Camaro friends came for the Tail of the dragon run. Amenities and staffing were over the top and made us feel welcomed! We will be booking again soon in the very near future. I highly recommend this place!

This was my first hotel stay in Robbinsville while visiting family in February. I was hesitant since the town is so small and options are limited. I was pleasantly surprised. This is your basic no frills hotel. The staff was warm and friendly. The hotel and rooms were very clean with all the necessary conveniences. We stuck our heads into the breakfast area but did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast . It appeared to be your basic cold breakfast, (cereal, bagels, coffee, juice, etc) and we were looking for more of a hearty warm breakfast. I would recommend a stay if in the area.

Phillips Historic Motel & Cottages is a comfortable, quaint, historic motel located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We're located in downtown Robbinsville, on the east end of the Cherohala Skyway and only a few miles from the famous Tail of the Dragon. We've recently added 2 large covered motorcycle parking areas!! So we now have 4 total on the property. We have new ownership since May 2018 and we're replacing beds, tables and other motel items to make your stays more comfortable. Book directly by phone for the best rates. We're the most comfortable, affordable place to stay in the area.
CANT GO WRONG! Quaint, nice enough, clean, and the owner bill is super friendly. One stop shop. For solo motorcyclists, this is the place. Won’t break the bank. Fulfills all needs. Walking distance to restaurants including a good breakfast spot. Also grocery store nearby.

As you come up on the porch you overlook beautiful Buffalo Creek. You hear the many waterfalls and you smell the fresh mountain air. Your senses are experiencing treats like a child on Christmas morning. The large dining room and bedroom windows keep you in tune with nature even inside and the sounds of silence permeate the entire cabin. With kitchen privileges, Wi-fi, hot tubs and much more, you be the one to choose your mix of nature and comfort. This is not your typical Bed and Breakfast this is an adventure in a romantic, secluded, peaceful setting only interrupted by the critters of the woods. Come stay with us we promise you a great experience.
Rob and Robin are the consummate hosts. Kind, friendly, yet not overbearing. They have had a lot of life experience as teacher, nurse, business owners, and conversations with them are super interesting. Robin’s breakfasts are wonderful. The directions to get there are a bit intimidating (many turns on country roads, some gravel) but follow them to the T using your odometer and you will get right to the front door and then relaxation begins! They let us fix steaks on their brand new grill and it was idyllic- my husband grilling on a patio just a few yards away from where our kids splashed in a mountain stream and looked for Hellbender salamanders. I recommend a 2 night stay to fully take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and comfortable rooms. They have several properties so I think any type of group could find a good space. Our family of four stayed in a large top-floor room with a king bed and a futon mattress and it was great. Can’t wait to return next summer!!

Escape and unplug in our backwoods Appalachian "Eden" 200 sq ft tree-house-like non smoking glamping cabin attached to our home's back deck. The view doesn't get any better off your private deck! Furnished to make simple meals in tiny kitchenette or on grill. Be aware venomous snakes and wild animals are indigenous to our area ALL need 5" clearance. NOT suitable for motorcycles. 2 miles from paved road. 1.2 mi of uneven gravel/dirt with potholes. Use ONLY our directions or you'll get lost! No cell, WiFi., pets or service animals. Landline provided. Near Tail of the Dragon/Deals Gap, Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer, Stecoah Gap's bird-watching trail, trout fishing, ATV trails, rafting, etc.
What a peaceful and tranquil place to stay! Listening to the creek just soothes the soul and relaxes you! The owners go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible experience, attention to detail is greatly appreciated. Meticulously kept and superb customer service.

This B&B was on a gorgeous spot in the mountains. The creek had several small water falls that you could hear from the porch. The night we were there it rained. As there was a large covered porch area, we could still sit outside during the rain. Our room was great. It also had a refrigerator with cold soda and water. The next morning, Jeff and Cynthia served up a large tasty breakfast. This couple does a great job of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. We hope to return in the Fall.
