Extremely disappointing stay with Westin at Princeton. You will not get rooms that you had booked for, and hotel’s remediation efforts to address booking issues due to their poor hotel room organisation/booking process is extremely poor. It’s an apt example of POOR SERVICE. Essentially there is no remediation process. Room is poorly lit. Phone is not working. Would not recommend. Book at your own risk

This hotel does not have a working whirlpool. Reviews here mention it, and pictures on the hotel website show it (though it is not listed among amenities). But the whirlpool has been boarded up. It’s an ugly blotch in the pool area, which is unfortunate because the pool itself is better than average. It’s large and clean, long enough to swim good laps. Even the children who were playing there well well-behaved. Our other complaint about the pool is lighting. During daylight, the space is bright and inviting. At night, it’s a little spooky and there really isn’t enough light to read poolside. My wife and I were hoping for a nice, relaxing night away. Room service was disappointing. The menu is limited, which was ok because we weren’t looking for anything exotic or fancy. Delivery was swift — about half and hour. But everything came in a brown paper bag, in basic take-out containers. (There was one real plate and one set of silverware stuffed in the bag for the two of us.) We missed the traditional room service cart, not just because it’s elegant and would come with glasses of ice water, but also because there was no other table in the small room on which to eat. We understand that this might be a covid thing, but you’d think by now that we’d be able to restore some traditional comforts. The food itself was fine — not great, but not bad. The hotel is billed as a “resort” but it’s badly in need of a thorough update. Our room was clean, but we encountered a couple of minor maintenance issues. On the other hand, staff was excellent: friendly and efficient. While there were certainly some good things about our stay, the whole experience was not the treat that we were looking for.

This is a conference centre close to Princeton NJ. The landscape is very beautiful and the property is surrounded by a huge park with a small lake. The hotel itself is a rather indistinct block of concrete. Breakfast buffet is rather limited (May 2022). Rooms are clean and modern. The afternoon receptionist was a disaster: disinterested, almost impolite and no service at all. Clearly not the right person for the job. My overall rating would have been 4 stars but one less due to that bad check-in experience.

I've stayed in Courtyard hotels across the country and they are generally a fairly solid choice. This one was OK, but I've definitely seen better. The lobby seemed updated, but the guest rooms were a little past their prime. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the shower seemed to be falling out of the wall. One strength of this hotel was the staff - very friendly and service oriented. Anyone who has read my hotel reviews know that hotel gyms are a big deal to me. this one was substandard on many levels. While they had decent cardio equipment, it was clear that it has not been well maintained. Their were no mats for floor work, and the floor surface was not comfortable for that type of activity. The towels were not well stocked on either day I used the gym. The dumbbell selection was weird - there were a couple that were below 10 pounds, which were too gross to touch. From there, it skipped up to 25s and 40s and that's it. This is an area I travel to fairly frequently, so I think I'll be continuing my search for the best spot to stay.

I booked through Sams club travel. Shame on them. Shame on Holiday inn express. Shame on Crown plaza. I pulled into an empty parking lot (following GPS instructions). Walked to the entrance with luggage in tow to find a note about Covid 19 and that this entrance is closed. Directions were given to the “Crown plaza” entrance with ABSOLUTELY NO explanation that you are actually booked with the Crown plaza hotel. The note also claimed it tried to notify you. I drove back on the main road to a completely separate exit to find the crown plaza hotel and parking. My reservations, however, were at the holiday inn express so I kept driving. 40 minutes later in desperation I went to the Crown plaza check-in. After waiting almost 10 minutes for someone to show up I was told that due to Covid and lack of business the holiday inn had closed almost TWO YEARS AGO but they continue to accept reservations for the holiday inn express (at the crown plaza). While this might seem like an upgrade I wasn’t impressed, the room was dark, worn and I was tired and irritated for the run-around and TERRIBLE communication and directions. I went back to read the “fine print” on my Sams club reservation. The only thing I could find was “This property is managed by a professional host.” Would that make you think you’re staying at a different hotel with a different exit? VERY POOR communication on IHG’s part! One star for Sams, one star for holiday inn express and one star for crown plaza. Ridiculous. What the hell are you thinking? You really think this is the way to win customers over?
