On the edge of historic Newport in the calm Shropshire countryside, the Premier Inn Hotel Newport/Telford is a breath of fresh air. And with excellent transport links, you'll be well placed for nearby business and leisure destinations, as well as exploring north Wales. Get active or host your special event at Lileshall National Sports Centre. Picnic on the lawn at Weston Park. Or travel back to the birth of the industrial revolution at Ironbridge Gorge Museum. Then set a course for a tasty meal in our restaurant and a great night's sleep in your extra-comfy bed.
Usual Premier Inn experience, very clean, very comfortable, everything we needed. Convenient location. Sadly let down by lack of sound proofing, 2 sleepless nights from noisy people in family room above us. Expected better.

The place was very clean, well laid out and the beds were really comfy. Checking in and out easy, security on the desk in the evening. Shower pressure and temperature great and heat up quick. Equipped really well if you want to cook for yourself.

The Swan at Forton puts the best of Newport at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
This is my favourite eatery. We are not particularly local but love the atmosphere and service here so it is worth the trip. It is dog friendly which is a huge bonus. The staff are friendly and excellent. Well worth a visit.

I have had no issues with this hotel. The staff have always been good to me especially Farrah who always makes sure I am sorted. It is a cheaper hotel but Newport for some reason is so damned expensive. If you purchase your tickets through booking.com they do not refund on any account. Booking directly is the better way. My rooms have always been spotless and well maintained. I am only looking for a clean and quiet room for the night after work. If someone is going to pay the price of a ticket in Cardiff to See Ed Sheeran, why would you book a budget hotel in Newport? Horses for courses but I am happy and have not seen any "druggie scum" or I would never frequent this place.
