Room smelled like mildew, non-functioning curtains

The hotel is off a major highway and large industrial street lights shine in from the parking lot and nearby truck stop; there were sheer curtains on the window! The heavy blackout drapes on either side of the window were stuck in place! Just for decoration? They could not be closed--weren't on a rail to close them. So there was a bright parking lot light shining through the room all night. We arrived late at night, so it was quiet, but at 8 a.m., we heard conversations among people in the room right next to us as if we were in the same room. Thin walls, mildew smell, no curtains...hate to say I feel ripped off even with such a cheap rate. There are LOTS of other hotels off this exit, I would recommended any other one.

Reviewed By Seaside310944Last week, I stayed at Avid with family and friends. Vic Patel and his assistant manager Kristin went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. Kristin is a gem of a person!! The cleanliness and overall ambience of the hotel was so welcoming. A great grab and go breakfast everyday and 24 hour coffee was a winner with our crowd. If you are in the area, look no further and experience it for yourself!
