Wonderful family hotel in lovely mountain town
Reviewed By easternfestoonWe stayed as a group of 14 with packed lunches and evening meals. Very friendly. Great local food. Good wines. Rooms perfectly ok. WIFI not brilliant. Lovely area rarely visited by Brits. Snow still on the high mountains. Wonderful flower rich meadows and great wildlife.

The Valle Gesso Campsite is located in Entracque, near Cuneo in the Piedmont region of Italy, a few kilometres from France and the border with the Natural Park of the Maritime Alps. The Valle Gesso Campsite is set in a scenic and sun-drenched location in the wonderful backdrop of the Maritime Alps. It is just 800 metres from the village of Entracque, which you can also reach by the convenient track for pedestrians and bicycles. The site has spacious grass pitches for tents, caravan and camper vans, including large ones and has got welcoming chalets in Alpine style. The Valle Gesso Campsite has two sets of toilet facilities, open-air swimming pools, a bar, a small supermarket, a playground, a table tennis and a billiard table, football pitches, volleyball courts and bowling greens, a large BBQ area, internal car parks and free Wi-Fi internet access across the whole campsite.

Reviewed By reluctantreviewer225We stayed 3 nights here on our way south. We had dodgey weather so could not make full use of the location. Would be lovely in high season. There are mountains all around and it’s Easy to walk to the nearby village of Entracque which was very picturesque (if eerily quiet!). Wifi here was the best we’ve experienced throughout Italy, although this may be because there were only 2 or 3 vans on the site at the time. Receptionist spoke good English but could have offered more info about the local area more readily we thought. We were then led to the pitches and given a choice. The site was tidy. Electricity and water were nearby and it was very useful to have a drain for grey water for every pitch. Toilet blocks functioned ok but were in large metal huts which were slightly uninviting (largely because so few people were there I expect). The token system for the showers was a little strange (you had to pay in the deserted games room) and €1 (as far as I remember) seemed quite a lot. However the showers were warm. Male receptionist very friendly on check out. Overall a well organised site, we stayed at the wrong time of year.

Un luogo semplice, una nuova filosofia di accoglienza "Easy". Camere spaziose, tutte con bagno privato e grande balcone, direttamente sulle piste da sci in inverno, nella tranquillità della natura in estate. Si può scegliere un soggiorno più economico, in modalità Easy, come in ostello, oppure in modalità comfort, con tutte le comodità dell'hotel. Un soggiorno all'Aktiv Hotel è un soggiorno originale, semplice, senza vincoli, per chi cerca una vacanza attiva e a contatto con la natura è il territorio.

Reviewed By nicolabenvenuto1981A very simple hotel with a friendly personnel. I stayed here with my parents in a room for 4 people for 3 nights. The place is well located at the feet of the mountains. The rooms are cleaned, enough spacious and the wifi works okay . I found the mattresses uncomfortable. Breakfast was average,not special but also not bad.

Cucina dotata di tutti i comfort, completa di lavastoviglie e persino di lavatrice, camera da letto accogliente con letto comodissimo, bagno moderno e spazioso. Molto accogliente, così come la signora che ci ha accolto dandoci informazioni e suggerimenti sul posto.
