Avoid prison cell rooms!!
Reviewed By hayleycI8860KCThis is a very strange hotel. Lovely pool, staff so friendly. Breakfast ok. But the rooms!! The “standard rooms” are exact replicas of prison cells! We spent one night in one didn’t sleep for a minute. We could hear the person in the room above snoring! Heard when the people either side went to the toilet in the middle of the night. Bathrooms were dirty and beyond. Furniture is tatty and smelly. We asked reception for an upgrade and spent the rest of the nights in a much nicer room, the hotel have had these 2 different types of room for many years. The first prison room will genuinely want to make you kill yourself.

At our Bed & Breakfast you can have a good night sleep at one of our beautiful rooms; which are all quiet big and they all have an ensuite bathroom. Our bed and breakfast is part of our ranch "Mas Martorell", which is an old house in Caldes de Malavella, nearby Girona and 5 minutes away from Girona Airport. The PGA Catalunya golfresort is only 2 km away from our B&B.
And relax.......in stunning surroundings.
Reviewed By cvnormWhat can I say to expand on previous reviews? We have been fortunate enough to visit this wonderful place on 2 separate occasions. It is a stone's throw from Girona airport but you can hardly believe that once you are there, surrounded by trees and fields. The hosts are warm, welcoming, friendly and attentive. The rooms are large and very comfortable, lovely bathrooms. There is a beautiful pool and in addition a ping pong table within the old stables. Lots of casual seating areas in the grounds. Breakfasts are fantastic (gorgeous freshly-squeezed orange juice) and the honesty bar for food and drinks is a revelation, what a wonderful idea. On top of all of that you have access to communal cooking facilities so your holiday can be as self-catering or not, depending on your wishes. Oh, and who could forget Aussie the dog?

All at the same time you need to hire another waitress in order to deliver a quick response and excelente service.

Excellent value and convenience
Reviewed By Gill MThis is a custom built hotel for golfers who are not bothered about spending too much time in their bedroom and just want a decent bed for the night after a day of fabulous golf. The rooms are a strange shape due to the curve of the building and are stripped of even the most basic luxuries, such as a mini fridge to keep drinks cold, or tea and coffee making facilities. But breakfast is very good (I recommend the scrambled eggs) and the coffee of an acceptable quality. Staff are first class. All are very helpful and polite and, most important, friendly. Miguel even drove us up to the clubhouse on several occasions in a spare buggy. The restaurant is casual in the evening - pizza and pasta. The clubhouse menu is far more varied and the ambience a lot more congenial. Fabulous golf. Great way to spend three nights!
