Do not think it twice....I was here on 14 August with my family. This place is in the midle of forest, and is only this beautiful big alpin house, nothing else. Its magical to wake up surrounded by this panoramical view. We were the only people in this hotel so the owner let us chose the room we liked,he treated us with "slivovice" or "raki" a kind of brandy in balkans.also prepared an enormous and delicius breakfast only for us,which was better than buffet on other hotels that are in full capacity.no doubt that i will come back again and will recomend to anyone.especially for couples that need a romantic stay.a big thanks to the staff which made our stay so pleasant.

We were driving through from Serbia to the coast, but it was getting dark, so Berane was our chosen stop. It is a mid-sized town, with lots of communist era high rises, but surprisingly few places to stay (we saw 2), so I guess that it is not on any regular tourist route. Il Sole (or something similar was 1km out if town, but Hotel S was in the centre, hence our choice. We got a very good rate for BnB, but opted not to eat breakfast, as there were a few people (including staff) smoking in there when we went down and restaurant reeked of smoke. This was not surprising, although still annoying, as we understand smoking to have been banned indoors, but everyone does it through Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia. However, this worked in our favour, as we found an excellent place for breakfast, just behind the main promenade. The room, however, was nice and clean and it included free wifi, which is high on our priority list.

Place is nice, wifi not so god. BUT MY EXPERIENCE IS TERRIFYING: I arrived around 20 and needed a place where to stay. I saw coming by car a huge panel saying "hotel sole 15€". The guy doesn't speak English - thanks god I know some basic Serbian. He says the price is 17€ and adds that is IMPOSSIBLE that I saw a panel saying so. You know what?? I took a photo of the panel!!! still he was saying that it was impossible. (Wtf!) Before he says that breakfast is at 7, which was perfect forme since I would like to track early in the morning and later he says that it's a 7:30. I don't understand if this guy is making fun of me or what??? Restaurant: I ordered a "day soup" and CLEALY it was a industrial prefabricated horrible soup and had so much salt I had to drink all night. Some "home made cheese" and it tasted like plastic... and some bread and it just went to the microwave. Every single piece of this dinner was DISGUSTING. I regret to have chosen this place to eat seriously! At breakfast, they had no light... I asked for a fruit juice and a coffee and the guy say that I can't have both I have to choose. Serisouly??? I can't have a glass of industrial fruit juice and a coffe? This is seriously ridiculous. Happy to leave this place!!

This place is the worst hotel I have ever been too as I walked in the room the first thing that caught my eye was the dirty floor in the bathroom along with the urine stains on the toilet bowl the person I was traveling with had a much worse room than me the sheets in both rooms were stained with who knows what I left this place after 2 hours and was charged 30euros from the bartender claiming I had two people in the room he pretty much pocketed 15 euros that's how it is here but you can find honest places unlike vidikovac Hotel S, Hotel Lukas, hotel IL sole Those three places are great, clean, and nobody will rip you off

We stayed at the Berane Hotel during a 4X4 tour of Montenegro. We got in after a long and tiring day of terrain driving. Upon arrival, the reception staff were nice and friendly. It was nice to walk into the large and clean room that awaited us, and to take a good well deserved shower. The food at the hotel restaurant was freshly prepared and tasty. All in all - Nice Hotel!!
