A magnificent medieval village, steeped in history, clings to the hillside above the Dordogne river. A magic place located near places of interest like the Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour, Collonges la Rouge, and the most beautiful villages of France including Loubressac, Carennac, Autoire, Turenne and Curemonte. At the heart of the Dordogne valley, there are rambles and outdoor activities galore, (canoes, canopy tours, white-water fishing, biking etc.). A superb 12th-century building on the former fortified city walls, located in the heart of Beaulieu, a medieval village, features a spiral stone staircase from the 15th century and large arched windows overlooking an extensive sunny terrace. Fully refurbished hotel for top-quality service, olde worlde charm and modern comfort. Spacious rooms with understated ornamentation, fully equipped with giant flat screen TV, Canal+ satellite, large beds and blackout blinds. Fully-equipped bathroom, separate WC in each room, free WiFi, room service. Bar & Terasse.
This place is wonderful. Quirky, fantastic service, beautiful room, ideally situated in this gorgeous town. They made us feel relaxed and at home immediately, the building itself has enormous character, the outside area is open but cosy. All in all, I can't recommend it enough

Very nice hotel located on the square in the town centre. Private secure parking at the rear. Room was spacious and airy. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Nice bar area downstairs and an outdoor seating area at the front. Also an outdoor garden with tables. Dinner in the restaurant was superb! Staff were very helpful and friendly. 5 minutes walk to the Dordogne river.

Good location, near the old city entrance and restaurants nearby but calm and peaceful to sleep. We took room for three persons (6 years old child) and it was well organized, cozy and clean. Staff friendly .

Le Petit Chat offers three rooms Bed and Breakfast style. The rooms were renovated in 2005, but have kept much of the original charm. All the rooms have private bathrooms, two have kitchenettes.
This is a bike oriented review. Beaulieu is a beautiful town. The b&b gave us a lovely room with a very long view of the valley. The bikes were stored secure in the garage. The woman who runs it speaks perfect English and is very kind. Highly recommended for bike travelers.

Just a stone’s throw from the medieval town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, discover the Dordogne Valley and its cultural sites. Quality services are at your disposal: a beautiful swimming pool, a snack-cafe, a family activities program in July-August ...
Had the best 5 nights here and an amazing thunderstorm to boot ? We couldn't hire a kayak but thats probably because we were not organised enough. Kids had lots of fun body boarding down river. Really is a fantastic setting the town is on the doorstep and beautiful. If you are visiting Dordogne this is the campsite to stay.

The setting of the hotel is really beautiful..parked easily in free parking nearby. Room good, Nice bright and cheerful. Food lovely. Roast beef main exceptionally yummy. Dessert not to my taste..i prefer a calorific icecream of large portions to strawberry soup ..rubarb icecream lovely but small portion of that..a little less gastronic and more bistro please. However chef served best roast beef ever tasted. Good value. Breakfast good and lovely open well decorated airy dining room. Its spacious, freshly decorated, tasteful. Service and staff first class, friendly. The lady on reception especially professionnal and helpful. Set next to river with gorgeous views, the village itself exceptional. The restaurant is popular so do book in advance. Nearby you have collonge la rouge, this area lots for tourists Who enjoy good food, great scenery and i envoyed a lovely swim in the river...will return to this hotel again...its great.
