Located on the scenic Antrim coast only 26 miles from Belfast and close to Larne, the Ballygally Castle faces the sandy beaches of Ballygally Bay. The Castle dates back to 1625 and is the only 17th Century building still used as a residence in Northern Ireland today. This enchanting hotel is full of character and charm. The many original castle features and antique furnishings also give the hotel a unique welcoming atmosphere.
Just back from a great night at the Ballygally Castle Hotel. Went with some friends to the westlife tribute show in the hotel, great evening. The bedroom was very tastefully decorated and very spacious for the 3 of us. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the staff were very pleasant & friendly.

CairnView is a friendly, welcoming B&B situated at the entrance to the world famous Antrim Coast Road. We have 3 ensuite rooms all with TV and internet connection. Breakfast is served in the conservatory with outstanding views of the surrounding hills. It is a 5 minute drive from Cairndhu Golf club with its very good value restaurant and magnificent views. We are 10 minutes from Larne Harbour and 30 minutes from Belfast Airports.
Cairnview b&b is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a really comfortable bed. The view from the bedroom is awesome. The breakfast was amazing, great choice, and plenty of it. The big plus is the couple who run it, they were very attentive and pleasant. They obviously take pride in their b&b. I will definitely be returning soon, and would highly recommend the Cairnview b&b to anyone, I promise you won't be disappointed.

The Halfway House Hotel is a family run hotel, situated on the world famous Causeway Coast/Antrim Coast and Glens. It can be described as the Gateway to the Glens and Causeway Coast because of the location. From the front of the hotel you can see that it is situated in a picturesque seaside village. On clear days, if you look across the sea you will be able to see the mountains of Scotland. Within the hotel there is also a large lounge area (Maidens Lounge) where food and drink are served daily. The menu has a wide variety of food available – from seafood to steaks and a great selection of sweets. Again this area has lovely views over the sea.
Lovely servers but the food was a let down. Over cooked chicken. The gravy was Bisto for beef and very watery to accompany chicken?? Just like a school dinner only not as hot. Poor quality ingredients used. Worth a miss for sure. Drive on.

BallyCairn House is a tranquil, boutique B & B located on the Causeway Coastal Route and Gateway to The Glens of Antrim. The spacious, ensuite bedrooms are beautifully furnished with guest comfort a top priority and include a welcome hospitality tray. Guests also have access to a large, cosy lounge which has stunning views of the Irish Sea and Antrim Hills which feature in the HBOS series Game of Thrones. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind, away from the hustle and bustle of modern living. Enjoy the beautiful gardens which surround the house and the picturesque village of Ballygally with its sandy beach is only a 10 minute walk. Hosts John and Deirdre have lived in the area for nearly 40 years and have extensive local knowledge and lots of ideas to help make your stay enjoyable and memorable. BallyCairn House is only 30 minutes from the airports and Belfast City, making it the perfect base to spend several days exploring all the exciting places of interest in Northern Ireland.
This was not only the best B and B we have stayed in, but was better in many ways than a lot of the hotels too. I don't have much to add to previous reviews really; lovely hosts, beautiful house and gardens, fabulous views and wonderful food. Johnny and Dee pay attention to detail and it shows. We would definitely return.

Lynden Heights licensed restaurant sits on lawned gardens with a conservatory (dining room)and has just added two luxury ensuite bedrooms with dramatic sea views to its portfolio. It sits on a headland overlooking Ballygally Bay with lighthouse, overlooked by the Antrim Hills to the rear. This property has been described by many as one of the most beautiful on the Irish coastline and it has dramatic views over the Irish Sea and Scottish Coastline.
I had overlooked writing this review as I stayed with Lynn and Dennis in August 2019. I am reminded looking over my trip diary. Lynn arranged dinner in a nearby inn and ferried me there and back . She was truly interested in my experience to ensure further guests would be happy where they ate. The following morning I was provided with a delicious vegan breakfast prepared with great care. The views over the Irish Sea to Scotland were amazing . Her husband Dennis joined me and provided amusing and witty company. This couple excel at what they do. It was such a joy to stay with them.

We arrived early on a damp afternoon, but Tanya welcomed us and gave us immediate access to our room. Free parking was available just across the lane from the Old Mill House. The room had spectacular wall decoration (forest scene!), and was clean and spacious. The bathroom was across the corridor, but was equally spacious with a walk-in shower. Tanya warned us that the shower control was temperamental, so we took her advice and did not touch the controls - it worked fine! We dined at Ballygally Castle, which was an easy and safe ten minute walk from the Old Mill House along pavements. Tanya provided us with an excellent full Irish breakfast (at extra cost). Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay - we are happy to recommend.
