Former Air raid Shelter from World War 2 converted into a museum.
I accidentally stumbled across this on Google Maps, otherwise, I'd never have found this priceless gem! I had no idea there was an air raid shelter in Ipswich that was open to the public - it was only re-opened in 1989 apparently, and has been converted into a museum containing many artefacts from WW2. Run by volunteers, some in period costume, this wonderful place is well worth a visit. Opening times are limited and it's best to check their website. Perfect for all ages, and don't forget to check out the train!!

Step back in time and look with wonder through Victorian Eyes. a purpose built museum from the mid Victorian era with stuffed animals, egyptian mummys, and fossils from far and wide. Lots of workshops for families and young children. Close to Christchrch Park with Christchurch Mansion.

Superb museum in a massive hangar. Buses, trams, motorbikes, a model railway (watch out for the quirky cartoon characters who change all the time) - friendly staff, buses you can get on, and a nice little tea shop. Really fascinating. They do sometimes have a number of buses etc working - very well worth the effort to find out and go on one of those days.

Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm is in the middle of the beautiful county of Suffolk in Eastern England and is a small livestock farm breeding farm animals that were once common but are now very rare. It's a great time to bring your whole family to the farm to meet the pigs, feed the goats and let the kids loose in the play area whilst you settle into the calm surroundings with a piece of homemade cake or a cream tea.
Me and my 5 year old son recently visited the Farm. My son loves it here so many lovely animals and such a lovely well looked after Farm. It always looks so lovely and clean especially since its reopened the safety measures in place are brilliant and we felt very safe. Its lovely walking round the footpaths around the field seeing all the animals and there's a lovely picnic area to have lunch in as well. Great value for money and a free bag of animal food as well! Great day out! We will be back!

The service was fantastic and the range of gin and beer was brilliant. We found this place last minute on a trip to Ipswich and we are so glad we did, had a great afternoon trying a range of beers and gins, the staff are so helpful and will give you information and advice on what drink will suit your taste buds. We would like to go back very soon to sample the drinks we didn’t have time to get to. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon ????
