High in the Eastern Sierra of California is the growing ski resort town of Mammoth Lakes, surrounded by alpine beauty and majesty. Powdered peaks of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and surrounding wilderness draw skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers and ice skaters every winter. Summers are quieter and less crowded, but vacationers in search of the path less traveled will find secluded biking and hiking trails, rushing rivers, icy mountain lakes, green golf courses and breathtaking scenery.

Checked out a couple of bike hire places in Mammoth Lakes. We chose this one as the lady was really helpful giving lots of advice on where to visit etc. Really good rate for bike hire. You can also hire e-bikes here but we went for normal bikes and took the trolly bus up from a mile or so up the road. If you are not frequent cyclists, the e-bikes are a good idea as even up around the lakes there are some steep paths. It is absolutely beautiful up around the lakes well worth a visit. The trolly bus is great, the driver gave a bit of a guided tour as we went up to the furthest stop. There is no charge for the trolly bus...thankyou to the local community for providing a great service.

Every time we're in Mammoth we go to Footloose Sports for something. This time I needed a pair of hiking shoes and a waterproof jacket. They have everything you could need for all of Mammoth's amazing activities. Great selection and amazing customer service.
