This magnificent 26-acre Cornish ravine garden features a rich collection of rare and exotic plants, trees and shrubs.
We were disappointed with The Lost Gardens of Heligan and thought Trebah might be similar. How wrong we were. The informal sub tropical gardens are an absolute delight with spectacular planting, beautiful lakes, all year round interest and winding routes taking visitors in various directions including to a private beach on the beautiful Helford estuary. There is something new to see in every part of the garden. The cafe, gift shop and garden shop were all of good quality. We will definitely visit again in a different season.

Lose yourself in the three valleys of Glendurgan Garden - full of fun, natural beauty and amazing plants. Discover giant rhubarb plants in the jungle-like lower valley and spiky arid plants basking in the sunny upper slopes. Wander through the garden down to the beautiful hamlet of Durgan on the Helford River: a place to watch birds and boats, skim stones and build sand-castles.Find a boat-seat, gigantic tulip-trees and ponds teeming with wildlife. Learn about the Fox family who created this 'small peace [sic] of heaven on earth.'
Great fun 1/2 day trip with the kiddies, maze and sandwiches by the gunnera Pond for the kids and a walk all the way down to Durgan village for a little explore by the sea. When you make it back up top stop at the boat seat for the obligatory photo and then hattie’s veggie lasagne or crab and asparagus tart are your richly earned reward.

Well kept garden with Mediterranean plants all around. There are benches around to rest on and a car park just over the road.

I visited the gardens with my two children on a hot summer's day and walked there from Falmouth. The gardens are indeed subtropical, we loved exploring and trying to work out where the paths were. We were amazed by the natural beauty and the many different areas on offer including a damselfly pond, bridge adjoining the two gardens and the amazing size of the tree ferns. We loved the sculptures and the many seating options which were needed for rest! We walked around for ages but still couldn't find the maze so we will definitely return. The only complaint I have is we couldn't find the honesty box, we posted our entrance fee in the letter box, whoops, sorry!!

We were very fortunate to have wonderful weather which emphasised the beauty of the estate. The bluebells were well on the way. giving a lot of background colour, the rhododendrons were just amazing....the huge bank of them at the back of the house were just stunning! Then the primroses, primulas, snakes head fritillaries.....just exceptional! And then....we were just stunned by the huge mature trees, especially the Spanish Oak. The history was very interesting....it certainly goes back a long way, and it's interesting to see that there are plans for the future. It was lovely to end up with tea and cake on the seat looking down at the ponds. All in all, a great visit. Thank you for all the work that has been put in to restore this wonderful estate.
