You could spend your whole Chiang Mai vacation exploring the famous Night Bazaar. Once you’ve exhausted the art of the cheerful haggle, however, there’s plenty more to explore. The National Museum and Botanic Garden are great places to soak up some local culture and to breathe in the delicate fragrance of Thai orchids. In the city’s center, the remains of ancient walls embrace over 30 temples. Limber travelers can climb 300 stairs to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, an ornate Buddhist temple in the hills.

The Ratchaphruek Flower Gardens are a must-see when visiting the Chiang Mai area. The expansive gardens are incredibly picturesque. Bike rentals are available and, for less active travelers, an electric bus is available to take you around.
The Royal Park absolutely deserves to be a top 5 attraction in Chiang Mai. It is incredible. Hundreds of acres of flowers and plants from around the world. I’m not a huge garden or nature guy, but this place blew me away. My fiancé and I spent hours walking the park, including visiting the orchid pavilion and the country area, which features plants from countries around the world. We saw many tourists taking the tram during their visit, and it seems like few people walk beyond the center area. In my opinion, that’s a mistake. There is so much to see and you will miss 90% of it if you are on the tram. It takes 3-4 hours to walk the entire grounds, and is well worth doing. You can stop at their tasty restaurant, which is about half way through, if that is too much walking for you in one go.

who knew this little gem of paradise, orchids, and butterflies were there. We were transported there by the most amazing local named Nui (+66918595554) who know the area like the back of his hand. We could not get enough, the flowers, the sent of the flower. The butterflies were just magnificent. How beautifully the garden was laid out. I honestly was not really keen on going but once you get there and see the beauty you will want to go back. They also have a little tea garden where you can get snacks and something to drink. Very much recommended.

Wow a night tour , we had just landed and hubby booked this to start our 3 day stay in changi mai, was so amazing to experience the zoo at night ,the tigers were purrrfect. Took all tram tours and loved seeing so many animals at night, do think there should be a silence rule as we couldn't hear the tour guide thru chatter and noise from others !! The live dancing was amazing too with beautiful costumes, staff were so very friendly and helpful, a must experience tour and a great start to our stay.
