Dublin (formerly, Amador and Dougherty's Station) is a suburban city of the East (San Francisco) Bay and Tri-Valley regions of Alameda County, California, United States. Located along the north side of Interstate 580 at the intersection with Interstate 680, roughly 35 miles (56 km) east of downtown San Francisco, 23 miles (37 km) east of downtown Oakland, and 31 miles (50 km) north of downtown San Jose, it was referred to as "Dublin" in reference to the city of Dublin in Ireland because of the large number of Irish who lived there. The post office formally adopted the name in the 1890s.

Each location features fast electric go karts, a professionally-designed track, state-of-the-art safety barriers, private meeting rooms, an arcade, and an onsite cafe that offers food and drinks. This makes K1 Speed the best entertainment venue & event venue in the area, and a great spot for a fun date night idea, family fun, social outings, team building, corporate events, company parties, birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and more.
This track was about the 10th K1 Speed that I (71) and my grandson (18) have raced at since we started with the San Antonio one when it opened in August 2013. This is most likely our last summer “Adventure” because he starts college after this summer. It’s taken him a few years but his skill has reached a point where I’m having to fight real hard to beat him. Both of us have K1 ranking in the top 100% in the nation. The Dublin track is apparently around 1 year old so the facilities and karts are all in very nice shape. The staff at the front desk was friendly and proficient so check-in using our prepaid credits on our K1 cards was painless. This track is medium sized compared to the other K1’s we’ve been to, but it has a technical layout that is challenging and leaves you believing that you can do better. The track race management staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The karts seem pretty evenly matched so on the first race we were only about .3 seconds apart with my grandson ahead of me. My kart had an under steer problem that I couldn't work around effectively (that's my story and I'm sticking to it.) The race staff was VERY helpful and between races gave us some helpful hints on tackling this tracks challenges. On the second race I was able to better my time by over .5 seconds, and beat him. Our times were good enough to get us into the top 10 of the week. We both agree that of all the K1 tracks, this is the one we’d most like to come back to (I’m writing this review after going to L.A. and driving 5 of the tracks there, and this one still ranks #1).
