Vinnytsia Water Tower

Reviewed By Kyle_from_Colorado - Denver, United States

I visited the Vinnytsia water tower near its closing time on Friday night in December. The staff were very friendly about letting me take a quick look even though I arrived late. The museum is a tribute to war veterans of various conflicts and it has a lot of interesting artifacts to bring the stories to life. Be ready for stairs though! Even if you can only see the outside, this is a piece of Vinnytsia’s history that is visually striking and worth your time.

Monument in Honour of Ukraine Air Force Creation

The Air Force of Ukraine has been established in accordance with the Order of Chief Commander of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shortly after Ukraine’s independence, on March 17, 1992. And in 1998, to honour the anniversary of the Ukraine Air Force creation, an interceptor MiG-21PFM has been established on the pedestal in the city centre. The monument is located on Peremohy Square in Vinnyrsya in front of the so called Officers’ House – the Centre for Leisure, Culture and Education of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The plaque on the monument hails Ukrainian aviators (and Vinnytsya is a birthplace of many of the prominent Ukraine Aviators).
