Glasshouse Rocks

Reviewed By Ellemay - Sydney, Australia

The Glasshouse Rocks is located on Narooma Surf beach which is the best place to view them especially at low tide when one can simply walk along the beach ????. The ancient rocks are incredibly interesting with different formations which are ideal for photos. At high tide drive to the Narooma cemetery and locate the white fence with a trail leading down to the beach.

Bar Rock Lookout and Australia Rock

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

We were towing a van and were advised by the information centre not to go right down to the entrance. We parked up in the top car park which was good as there were a couple of great lookouts with fabulous views over Montague Island. Australia Rock is amazing and there are some great angles to photograph it. We walked along the break wall and saw quite a few Seals swimming as well as a number lying in the rocks sunning themselves. Well worth a visit especially if you have kids that would like to see a Seal. However, don’t get too close as they can be unpredictable.

Safety Bar Beach (South)

Reviewed By Ellemay - Sydney, Australia

We had a beautiful day at Safety Bar Beach just located south of the bridge in Narooma. The netted beach is ideal for families as it’s totally safe for swimming with no waves as it’s protected by the breakwater from Wagonga Heads. Just around the corner one can find the local seals and Manta Rays which swim regularly just near the Mills Bay boardwalk.

Obriens Hotel

Reviewed By iggyb2017 - Sydney, Australia

My partner and i visited here last week. I had visited a few years ago and remembered being underwhelmed so wasn't expecting much. I was so pleasantly surprised, all the staff we experienced were amazing, really lovely and friendly. Also the food was great, I had the salmon and my partner had barra special, both were delicious, perfectly cooked and good value. The view is nice, it's a shame they have put massive "do not feed the bird" stickers on the glass because it obscures your view (they could have put them on the tables or less glass panels). Also i believe in summer they aren't dog friendly, lucky for us it was quiet and winter so they were ok with our dog. But they should really look at changing that rule because they have a massive outdoor area and dogs are the best! Other then that it was great, would 100% go back (as long as they are pet friendly)
