Cartmel is a village in Cumbria, England, 2.2 miles (3.5 km) north-west of Grange-over-Sands and close to the River Eea. The village was once known as Kirkby in Cartmel, as it was the location of the church for the large parish of Cartmel. It is the location of the 12th-century Cartmel Priory. Historically in Lancashire, boundary changes brought it into the newly-created county of Cumbria in 1974.

Micro brewery with tap bar and shop. Open every day, we will always find time to show visitors the brewery and offer a taste of our traditional ales. Situated in our licensed courtyard with our neighbours, Cartmel Cheeses & Bakehouse, Cartmel Drinkshop & Wine Snug and The Mallard Tea Shop. Late opening Friday & Saturday for stone-baked pizza, beer and wine in the courtyard.
Amazing pizzas at the weekend, take away or to sit in the yard (heaters for cooler nights) with beer from brewery or wine from wine snug. Also recommend the sharing plates from the Wine Snug, really tasty especially when followed by the unbelievably yummy cheesecake. Just a really chilled place with every one of the small businesses complimenting each other.
