Love the wood floors made by hand. Wished we could have seen the spiral staircase but, since someone lives on the other side, I guess this was not possible Bummer!!

Made a quick trip to town to visit family, bringing along a couple of kiddos who hadn’t yet visited Atchison. I took them down to see the River and this area of town looks great! The lookouts over the river and informative stops are very nice and well-maintained. We stumbled onto the splash pad, which I didn’t even know was there, and the kids (both 9) had a blast. They love any sort of water play and didn’t even care that they weren’t in their bathing suits on this scorching hot day! I’m sure that many will take advantage of this during the upcoming Amelia Earhart Festival! A couple of the spouts weren’t spraying, so hopefully someone from public works can get all of them going soon for the rest of this super hot Kansas summer.
