Iskon temple. At Vallabh Vidhyanagar is very beautiful small temple. The idol of lord Radha Krishna is so beautiful and devine, that such bhav ( expression) rarely shown on other idols at other temples. Amaizing experience here. Calmness, purity, peace, divinity, all here. Very good.

Pariej lake and surrounding villages were an eye opener for us. Situated just a couple of hours drive from Ahmedabad city, we did not expect such diverse wildlife. Pariej lake had an abundance of birds and the tourism dept has also made enough infrastructure to enjoy a small picnic there. The real calling card though for us was an article I read, where it was mentioned that the surrounding villages have lakes full of mugger crocodiles! We reached reached Traj village lake around 4, but a cursory glance over the lake did not reveal any crocs. From there we went onto Pariej. While returning from Pariej we decided to test our luck at Malataj village. Enroute to Malataj on the small road we even saw a huge black boar, all with huge exposed canines and all! On reaching Malataj nightfall was fast approaching but we were lucky enough to see 3 crocs swimming on the lake surface! On our way back from Malataj we saw a pair of beautiful saras cranes in a small pond too!

Manilaxmi tirth about 2 hours distance from Baroda, Gujarat is a mighty Jain Temple that has 3 floors. 3rd floor is yet to be completed. In this covid pandemic situation the temple is open for public, but I saw very less public. The bhojanshala (food facility) is temporarily closed and also the evening lightings are not being put up temporarily. The Gujarat government is building a big highway that can take you to Baroda in just about 45 minutes once the work is complete. The Highway will connect further to Ahmedabad.

The temple is a part of a larger complex which is part of the BAPS ecosystem of activities... Interesting architecture, definitely worthy visiting (if you like architecture of sacred / sacral places).
