NB Distillery

A real distillery that produces multi award winning NB Gin, vodka and rum offering a luxury visitor experience and The Cellar Door shop that has great cellar door prices on all products!

The NB Distillery tour and gin tasting was a great 75 minutes. We were met by very friendly and knowledgeable guides. They told us the interesting story of the creation and the short history of the distillery , which included a tour of the production facility. We then enjoyed a tasting session of their excellent products (three gins, a vodka and one of their three rums), before buying some "souvenirs" and departing with broad smiles on our faces!

Glenkinchie Distillery

Glenkinchie proudly serves as one of the Four Corners distilleries of Johnnie Walker. We distil the Edinburgh Malt that is enjoyed around the world on its own and as a vital component of Johnnie Walker whiskies. Discover the generous spirit of our garden home where we create our rare Lowland style whisky, evoking fragrant flowers, dried cut grass, and nutty cereal. Following Scottish Government guidelines through their phased re-opening approach, the time has come to open our doors and welcome back our visitors from 3rd May 2021. To ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees and visitors, we will be implementing a number of precautionary measures. Find out how we are keeping you safe on our website before you visit us. We look forward to welcoming you at Glenkinchie, the Lowland Home of Johnnie Walker.

Went on the Warehouse Tour with my Dad. Was a great experience with the Guide Keith. The tour was informative and enjoyable and we got to see the whiskey making process as well as going round the warehouse and getting to sample 3 whiskeys. 2 of those whiskeys were poured directly from the cask, which was a great experience and well worth the additional cost. Booking the shuttle bus is easy with them and definitely the best way to get to and from the distillery. If you get the opportunity to go to this distillery its an enjoyable experience and the shop has some great purchase options too.

Belhaven Brewery

I had one of my best pals over visiting from the US, we’re both real ale fans and have visited several breweries in California where he now lives, and we’ve long talked about visiting the home of one of our favourite Scottish tipples. This was a properly special afternoon out, a really interesting tour of a truly historic site in sunny seaside Dunbar, culminating in a tasting of several of their stunning ales in the beautifully appointed ‘Monk’s Retreat’ onsite bar. Tommy the tour guide was just great, full of facts and passion for the place and the subject, Vicky in Reception looked after the booking, sold us a selection of their fabulous fare (try the Oatmeal Stout) from their onsite off-license and welcomed us fabulously well, and the Head of Brewing who managed to find us a case of the excellent ‘Wee Heavy’ but whose name I am embarrassed to have forgotten (apologies), was a complete star. Great value at £8 for a pleasant couple of hours (£5 for concessions), only half an hour east of Edinburgh, I would thoroughly recommend a visit, thanks to all the staff down there, I’ll definitely be back.
