Sadly disappointing. Not coming here again.
Reviewed By Peter_MarcusI've never before left a negative TripAdvisor review, but this place, alas, deserves one. The place - as a building - is fine. The rooms – clean and functional. The breakfasts however are very limited - olives (admittedly, lovely olives) and a slice of cake and... that's it. But our greatest problem was night-time. The first two (of our 6 nights) were wrecked by a loud, argumentative next-door elderly couple who spent their nights shouting and clomping around outside. Our last night coincided with a gigantic and very loud 70th birthday party which blared on until 4am. No advance warning. No apology afterwards. We ate at the restaurant once or twice, and the food was ok, but not spectacular. And generally we left feeling unwelcomed, unwanted, and over-looked. No parting gift of a homemade jar of anything for us. All a bit sad really, because we love Italy, especially Sardinia, and, as a person, the owner seemed quite pleasant. Just very distracted, and not interested in her guests. We got a fleeting apology from her about the party as we drove past each other, us on our final exit, but nothing more. So we definitely will not be coming back here. We suspect that this side of Sardinia is only just waking up to tourism, but Il Giglio has a very long way to go indeed.

Sumptous meals by a great cook
Reviewed By FrequentT1280We en.joyed our stay here very much. The rooms are modest but comfortable. We had some of the very best cooking of our trip here. Home made everything, very fresh and huge servings with great wine; all from their farm. This visit made of seek out additional agriturismo along our journey. You will enjoy being out in the very quite of the countryside.

I could really sleep here without worrying about anything
Reviewed By jan kVery pleasant. This was our base for trips in the Sardinia over a couple of days. We booked a basic room and it was really huge. There was another bed and a kids crib plus a desk in the room. The bathroom was also spacious and very modern. The owner family was really kind to us and helped a lot.
