This branch is seven stories tall occupying a full block on one side of Plaza de Catalunya, considered the central square of Barcelona and site of mass meetings and demonstrations in the Catalan capital. El Corte Ingles, like Macy's in New York City, is huge and sells anything you can think of. This great store has all one can dream of buying!! AND on top of that, it has a breathtaking view over Rome from the rooftop café and bar. AND if one goes all the way down in the basement, a part of the Aquadotto Vergine is revealed and in the most respecful way made part of the interior. In deed worth a visit!
