A captivating contrast of old and new, Luxembourg City's past is celebrated by its World Heritage status; its present sway by its position as headquarters for several significant European institutions. Small enough to explore on foot, this compact city offers a wealth of attractions, including dramatic promontory The Bock, underground passages in Petrusse Casemates, Palace of the Grand Dukes and the National Museum. Countless banks on Boulevard Royal, once a fortress moat, hint at the duchy's wealth.

On time pickup. Driver stayed and helped us get into our place we stayed. Was extremely helpful and courteous.
This enchanting area is characterized by a wonderland of intoxicating vistas of lush green forested valleys, intriguing rock formations and tumbling waterfalls. Many areas in the Old City are designed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites, such as the underground fortifications dating back to 1644 known as the Bock Casements. The popular Wenzel Walk in the Grund district is an intriguing walking tour in the old part of Luxembourg below the city on the banks of the Alzette River. The city and fortifications are perched on top of a sandstone bluff with precipitous sides, skited by two rivers, the Alzette and the Pétrusse, which is spanned such as the famous Adolphe Bridge, built in bold, impressive style. We couldn't leave the Grand Duchy without a stroll through the most delightfully picturesque sector in the area - Petite Suisse Luxembourgeoise. Little Switzerland is a hiker's paradise.

Thankfully, the battlefield is largely as it appeared in 1815. Rolling hills, farm fields, the wooded and walled Hougoumont (well-restored) and la Haye Saint (not so much). Still, the vibe and the atmosphere is evocative of the crucial Napoleonic struggle that took place here. The museum is excellent. Creative displays, lots of artifacts. The great Lions mound is a bit of a distraction. But it does afford spectacular views of the entire battlefield. Two downsides: the busy road that runs right through the field, north to south, is a little offputting. And Napoleon’s command position was overgrown with shrubs when I was there.

We spent 4 days in Brussels just before Christmas, returning home Christmas Eve. The markets were lovely, very busy and plenty of stalls. However, we were very disappointed in the lack of Christmas music that was played around all the markets. Even in the evening with all the lights and the number of people out there was still very little Christmas music being played. We had a day in Bruge and visited the markets there and still very little Christmas music. Being so near to Christmas being able to listen to Christmas songs would add to the atmosphere.

We had a great day! Johans, our tour guide, was personable, attentive and very knowledgeable. We were picked up by the hotel, on a very comfortable and new van. We had time to get a feel for the city and thoroughly enjoyed our day. We highly recommend!
We visit your selection of the main Battle of the Bulge battlefields, cemeteries and memorials. The area to cover is vast, so we will spend several hours in the car. It is necessary to make a selection, so the itinerary is flexible. The tour can be customized; it is a proposal, open to questions, changes, remarks and suggestions. You will find me flexible on the day, both with regards to timing and contents.

Get on board and experience an authentic tour along the old fortress of Luxembourg. Each stop on this tour of the capital is an exciting chapter in the history of the former "Gibraltar of the North". You have the possibility to get off at two stops: 1) Rives the Clausen and 2) Plateau du Rham. However, if you prefer, you can stay seated and enjoy your 45-minute tour on the Pétrusse Express. A great and popular activity especially for families with children!

We went riding our motorbikes and the riding is amazing even in the city as there are many winding roads. Hills and valleys incorporated into the city architecture make you stand and spin round to take it all in. The most amazing of all are the people, warm civil and friendly.
