So near to Tokyo but it is another world. The green moss has hidden the countryside from the city. The fauna are waiting to greet you. The wild deer, boar monkey and sometimes bear. The views are stunning. The people are very friendly. Come with me to the mountains. We will tour through rural Japan. A place with deep history going back thousands of years. All seasons show their magic in their full colors here. Escape from the tourist traps and go to where many Japanese go to get away from it all. A place frozen in time. A place magical in its beauty. A place where you can relax away from the hustle and bustle.

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.
