Great easter long weekend

Reviewed By SunshineGirl75

What a great family holiday, easter weekend so many activities planned, kids loved the creek and bike tracks. Stay away if you don’t want a crowd. We had no problems plenty of room for groups to come. Lovely staff, very helpful, will definitely be back.

Ok

Reviewed By Erin A

Just ok. Most expensive park of our trip and yet provides the least amount of facilities. Very unlikely we will ever stay again, no rules are enforced, other guests allowed to do whatever they like, music blaring day and night, smokers smoking constantly into our camp despite it being supposedly smoke free, dogs allowed to roam free despite no dogs being allowed in the area we were in. Camp sites are poorly maintained and overgrown. Cabins covered in mould. Only one female shower and one female toilet for our area. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper so we couldn't use them and there was no one around to ask. Absolutely no phone signal or internet until Kenilworth (8 mins drive away). Owners not seen once on site despite staying 5 days.

Camping Weekend for 50

Reviewed By P4608PKcraigg

We visited Bluff Creek (at Kenilworth, Queensland) in September 2021, as part of an organised camping group (approx 50 campers). This site has been established for around 7 years, is well laid out, and both owners & staff are delightful. They made us (and our pet) feel very welcome. Some first time observations: - The site is very well groomed, with new-ish landscaping and some mature trees. - The site is adjacent to a wonderful swimming site on the river (see pic), and was warm during our September stay. - They have a number of fire pit areas (wheel rims), which were a big hit for us. - The office/kiosk stocked all the basics, including firewood if needed. - The sites is currently unpowered (not sure about future), but offered good wifi to campers. The only slight critique issue from us (not complaining) was the mix and locations of fixed shower/toilet blocks with porta-loo's. In hindsight we should have asked for closer proximity to fixed facilities, as I have a family member with medical needs. I have checked with owners, and understand that additional facilities are coming soon too.  Fantastic experience, highly recommend.

Noise level not controlled

Our family just stayed a night and thought the location was amazing. We loved the great access to the river...had lots of fun, and the open spaces. The cost a little pricey of $54 for a family of five with no showers. Was looking forward to a really peaceful stay, just to get away for the weekend. The other campers were friendly and respectful of each other, except when it got to night we were so disappointed when we had to put up with this rowdy group who were loud, had music blaring, laser light show, doing burn outs until well past the curfew of 10:30pm. It was a little scary to see what might happen next. A shame the owners could not patrol the camp ground and ensure the curfew is followed. We have been to other campgrounds where it was much busier and the owners do a check to ensure the noise curfew is followed...it was peaceful! Not the idea of a peaceful weekend away which we were hoping for

A campground second to none Hosted by Wayne and family, the nicest, friendliest people I have met. 5 minutes from Kenilworth with the Mary river running along the edge of the grounds. Showers and toilets spotless, cleaned thoroughly twice a day. Manicured lawn campsites, camp fires allowed and pet friendly. One of the best camp sites in the Sunshine Coast hinterlands. Not crowded even if there is 200 or more campers on site. Easy access from Brooloo-Imbil road onto camp ground. Wayne and his sons and partners really go that step further to make your stay enjoyable

Wonderful Surprise

By pure accident we bumped into Tracey at the Kennilworth pub on a Thursday night whilst enquiring on local accommodation and by our good fortune were invited to stay at Tracey's B and B. Love, love, love!!! Tracey wasn't expecting any guests but opened her door to us with warmth and charm. We felt comfortable immediately - so homey, cosy and just beautiful. This unexpected accommodation has made our couple of days away an absolute delight. Thank you Tracey ? Trish and Gary
