If you’re already in the incredible and majestic village of SCL- you’ve already had the wind knocked out of you. Stop here for a beautiful bottle of wine to ground you. The cave is beautiful with thousands of regional products and wonderful bottles of wine. The staff are knowledgeable and simply, as sweet as can be. Make this city and the Musee a priority in your visit to the mid-Pyrenees!

Beautiful and lovely hike from Bouziès to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. The whole hike is just below 4km, with a short but steep climb (400m distance with a 20% gradient) up to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. The best known bit is the 500m stretch where you walk under/at the foot of the cliffs with the Lot river right beside you. The stones can be slippery when wet, as can others parts of the path (which can turn into slippery mudlike substance). Wear good hiking shoes.

This ia a wonderful historic small town perched high on a cliff above the river below. The original building was probably the castle/fortification, again perched on high, now a ruin but still very evident. The town consists of several very steep streets dotted with cafes and 'tourist type' shops plus several decent restaurants. There is also a 'beach' and towpath below, popular with walkers - we did not visit due to time constraints. A welcome bonus bonus is the provision for parking which is ample in all areas.

Very Good to find a relatively flat (level) piece of ground. The church is perched high on the cliff/gorge above The River and is quite close to the edge. The interior of the church is very well maintained and appears lovingly cared for, every area was very clean and well polished. Very pleasant inside on a warm day.
