The massive temple, palaces and walls are the best surviving remains of the ancient Kingdom of Elam.
This more then 3000 years old Elamite monument is very impressive monument, although only 25 m from the original 60 m high building are still intact.

I recommend that you visit this place at night as often they enlighten a waterfall over the bridge which is soooo amazing to watch and take a photo. you may be dirty if you approach the shore. the river also may smell bad or the atmosphere may be humid around it.

the Apadana Palace of Shosh has been built on the orders of Dariush Kabir, the king of the Achaemenid rule, with an area of 10,434 square meters. The architecture of this massive collection is very remarkable and impressive. The architect and designers of this old mansion designed and constructed various sections, including the General Bar, the Harem, the Gate, the Palace of Recreation, and the three central courtyards. It seems that the inner walls of this palace are made using glazed bricks. These bricks are decorated by ancient Iranian artists with immortal sepals, winged valves and lotus flowers. The works of these bricks remain in the museums of foreign and domestic countries. Architectural experts believe that the palace plan is a slab-shaped mansion consisting of 3 porches made up of several pillars in the northern, western and eastern parts of the country. The Apadana Palace has many rooms and suites, with only 110 rooms and its hall being discovered by explorers and archaeologists. The palace seems to have 6 courtyards, with 3 vast courtyards built around the eastern and western axis. These courtyards are located within the Apadana Palace and are connected to the north by the large corridor. 3 smaller yards are also designed in the northern part of the Apadana Palace. The designers of this fascinating historic collection provided the luminaire and air conditioning of the palace rooms and mansions by fitting the courtyards. In the central part of the hall is a central hall. Architectural experts have estimated the dimensions of the forum 58 * 58 meters. The palace seems to have 36 pillars, with an elevation of more than 20 meters.
