Island Park is a city in Fremont County, Idaho, United States. The city's population was 286 at the 2010 census, up from 215 in 2000. The city was incorporated by owners of the many lodges and resorts along U.S. Route 20 in 1947, primarily to circumvent Idaho's liquor laws that prohibited the sale of liquor outside of city limits. Horseback riding for the family! Go on a half day ride near the Continental Divide, come back and eat your lunch and then for no extra charge go fishing in one of the private ponds here at the ranch. Wildlife is seen on nearly every ride and you'll love the great western atmosphere. Be sure and bring you camera!
We are a family of 5 (3 kids- teen, 7 and 5) and did the 2 hour morning ride. One of the reasons we chose Eagle Ridge was that the 5 year old was allowed to participate on the ride. Nevertheless, I was a bit nervous, but the staff was very kind and helped relieve any anxiety. The horses were well seasoned to the trail. Our guide was friendly and respectful and did all he could to ensure we had a great ride. He took photos for us and even remembered our names. The landscapes were beautiful- mountain views, pine forests, a pretty creek and wildflower meadows. The beautiful trail, caring guide, nice horses and length of the ride made it perfect for our family. After the ride we also did some fishing and canoeing on the ranch property- all included in the trail ride price, which was a great value and another reason we went with Eagle Ridge. Our day there was one of the highlights of a 2 week vacation out west. Close to West Yellowstone and I greatly recommend!

Please, if in the area stop at the Harriman Wildlife Refuge. The 11,000 acre park is stunning! There’s small cabins where docents will share the local area history. You can take a self guided walking tour of the refuge and view all kinds of wildlife. Posted signs help you keep your bearings, and assist in determining the length of walk you prefer. There’s a small $5 day use fee, but exploring the area by foot was well worth the cost.

Yellowstone Playhouse is a summer stock dinner theatre located in Island Park, Idaho. In 2008, Andrew & Julie Durrant, began a lease on the building and changed the name from Mack's Inn Dinner Theater. The couple launched the theater into a new, fresh direction. The Playhouse offers family friendly musical spoofs. All food is cooked on site and meals offered include Prime Rib or Chicken. Past shows include: "Less Miserable;A Whole Lot LESS Miserable", "Butch Cassidy and the SUN Burnt Kid", "Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry", and "HOME School Musical". In 2012, the Durrant's packed up and moved to St. George Utah and started a year round dinner theatre called "Rattlin' D Playhouse". In May 2013, Lisa and Jeff Carter from West Yellowstone relocated the Pinecone Playhouse to occupy the space. Pinecone Playhouse at Mack's Inn continues to offer the very best in family friendly entertainment. Join us for live music and lots of laughs!
We attended a performance of "Les Misrables" at the Yellowstone Playhouse and had an enjoyable evening. Due to the COVID 19 situation, the venue was not able to serve its usual "prime rib" dinner as part of the dinner theatre experience, however concessions were available, and cast members graciously took your orders and delivered the items to your seated location. The enthusiasm shown by the host and all cast members was well reflected in a professional, memorable and humorous performance of this play. We had the opportunity to chat with the cast after the show and express our appreciation for their efforts. Of course, the theatre only has shows during the summer months until September. A great way to spend an evening at a venue if you're visiting the Yellowstone area .........Broadway level performance in the Yellowstone area mountains indeed!!

This is a review of the place more than the cabin. Thothe story of Johnny Sack is great. The springs are unbelievably beautiful. Hundreds of acre feet of crystal clear water rushing out of the ground all around the bluff base. Watched an ouzel forage, as well as mergansers. Well worth the visit.
