A hidden gem! We went out today and decided to visit the Walled Garden and had a wonderful time. The gardens are well-maintained, with themes, excellent planting and structures to explore. There is a lovely tea-room with excellently priced food and drinks, and a brilliant boho vibe to the indoor room. We could have chosen to sit outside in one of the many socially distant willow arbors as well. We bought sculpture and plants, and were spoiled for choice for wonderful things. (I may have to go back for a picnic basket...) The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was even free parking. I can't fault it, and will most definitely go back!

Sitting down to eat our lunch, while watching the lions parade around and roaring was just amazing. We got great views of all the animals there and had plenty of space to get good positions to watch the animals. The park is still very new and you can see there are areas being developed further, so we look forward to watching their development and visiting again in the future.

Full of wonderful antiques and vintage items, including retro 30's and 40's clothing and stunning antique furniture, a visit to the Horncastle Antiques Centre is one not to be missed! The beautiful blue and white building-itself an historic building worth seeing-stands on the corner of Bridge Street and West Street in this small market town. It is full of 3 floors of the most amazing antiques and wonderful vintage and retro items. The owner, Patricia, is wonderfully friendly and helpful, and full of knowledge should you need help. Definitely worth a visit. The only problem you will have at this remarkable place is leaving empty-handed!

Brewed in the microbrewery out back, the beer is just delightful and, unusually these days, there's a proper choice of light to dark, under 4% to well over and a range of tastes. A beer drinker's heaven! And my wife rates their wine very highly too.

The beer quality is excellent, Old Brewery Bitter and the Organic Pure Brew Larger (5%) are very popular with both the townsfolk and visitors ( Humphrey Smith knows his stuff). A good number of other more traditional brews are also available, for those who actually need to retain, the ability to drive themselves home. They also have a provision of highly edible, cheap, cheerful and well presented meals. Great for the Sunday lunchtime meal, unless you want a posh table cloth, at four times the price. A traditional style of public house, with well trained and helpful staff; along with good general social entertainment/banter provided free by local folk. This is very much a local community public house, used by both the locals and local trades persons (say no more really). The usual darts and snooker, along with cards and a huge Scalextric track
