Very enjoyable evening with my grown up family ... saw families with teenagers and small children having an equally good time ... even seniors strolling through the lanes, laughing and pointing out the pirate decorations... looking forward to returning and bringing my friends

East Carolina University

This is a wonderful university with a wide range of programs due to great leadership of Chancellor Jenkins and later Chancellor Howell. The academic side is greatly enhanced by the social science departments, the medical school, the fantastic nursing program, speech pathology curriculum, and sports medicine. The sports program is very robust and successful in football (except recently), baseball, and women's softball. The university made a huge mistake by firing Ruffin Mc Neil who had taken the football team to post season bowl games every year of his tenure there. The football program was also very successful under the tutelage of Skip Holtz, son of the famous Lou! The university is very creative in its dining programs for students, as well as housing, and its Honors Progam.

A bit hard to find initially but once there it's great. We walked about 5 miles on the path. It's level and safe to walk, run, for kids on bikes. The website/gps address isn't helpful to tell you how to get there though. There are multiple entry points at the end of streets. Best to go to the town center area to start.
