The Warther Museum is home of the world famous woodcarvings of steam engines by Ernest Mooney Warther carved out of ivory, ebony, and walnut. Mrs. Warther's button collection numbers over 73,000 buttons in patterns, and her Swiss style gardens still bloom seasonally to this day. The Warther Museum is more than you can imagine as you see what two people created in just one lifetime.
I learned of this museum through pure serendipity. It’s an incredible and captivating experience with a terrific gift shop and unique and surprising content.

They have added plexiglass shields to section the tasting area for safety, so no worries about being too close to others. Our pourer was helpful and friendly and we easily selected wine that we both liked and then found a summer sausage that did not require refrigeration until opened. One word of caution... Oversized vehicle parking is very limited. I have a 25' coach and was able to find room to park it, but anything larger would have been a challenge.

A quaint little place tucked away in the country with a wonderful setting for a winery. My wife and I absolutely loved the wine selection and atmosphere of the outdoor patio and decks. We will go back and highly recommend.

School House Winery is a boutique winery located in a renovated one-room schoolhouse originally built in 1886. This historic site has become the perfect location for our winery. Stop by and enjoy our relaxing setting and try our award winning wines. We have a light menu consisting of pizzas, subs, and local cheeses, so plan on a picnic by the our pond while enjoying our wine. We are conveniently located off of I77 exit 85, just outside of Zoar Village and on the outskirts of Amish Country. We are also close to the Canal Scenic Byway and the Towpath Trail. Stop by after a nice walk and join us for a refershing pitcher of sangria.
If you're putting off visiting this winery, like I have, I recommend you make time to visit! I visited for the first time tonight. We got the wine and pizza deal that they are offering during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pizza was amazing!! I got the Teacher's Pet wine, which is spectacular! I can't believe that I have been missing out all this time! I also got a Pomegranate wine, which I haven't tried yet. But I am sure it will be delicious as well!
