Lively Antwerp is a hidden gem. Its medieval streets, Renaissance monuments and vibrant nightlife tend to be overshadowed by its reputation as center of the diamond trade and as the world's fifth-largest port. Biking is a popular choice for getting around this stylish Flemish city. See thousands of Old Masters at the Royal Museum and Rubens House. Experience the bustle of life at the Grote Markt. Marvel at the art and architecture of the still unfinished Cathedral of Our Lady, started in 1351.

A short distance from the center of Antwerp what was a private estate until the late 1930's has since been a beautiful park. the original castle now a public restaurant and the open air sculpture museum. The latter's collection will fascinate anyone, it is stunning. The gardens in which the pieces are set makes a perfect joyful background. Don't miss this one.

We visited this museum after discovering Eugeen van Mieghem at the Red Star Line museum. The staff member there was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and talked us through the artist's life and work. He was obviously thrilled that we were so interested and we enjoyed his company. Absolutely worth a visit. The best thing we did in Antwerp.

We have visited the Stefan Vanfleteren exhibition, which was very impressive and very much worth a visit, both for people from Antwerp and for people from abroad. The covid organisation of the museum was impeccable. The museum shop is very nice as well.

HeadquARTers is the beating heart of Katoen Natie. Here the tradition of bringing art to life, creating symbiosis between entrepreneurship, architecture, art, and history, is renewed.
