Once a destination for honeymoons and family vacations, Niagara Falls has really stepped it up as an action-packed vacation spot. The falls are literally the biggest draw – watching the frothy water tumble at alarming speeds can be mesmerizing. Throw on a poncho and hop aboard the Maid of the Mist to cruise close enough to the falls to be drenched by spray. Hit the main strip of Clifton Hill for flashy tourist attractions and restaurants galore.

My husband and I went to Niagra Falls to see the sights and happened upon the incredible shop of Angelo Rossi. We watched Angelo blow some glass pieces and marveled at his talent, expertise and artistry. What stole our hearts, however, is that Anglo has the ability to encase the ashes of loved ones in a piece of glass art. The actual reason we were in the area in August 2018 was to bury my father's ashes alongside his parents in Hamburg, New York. After seeing the beautiful pieces, my husband and I asked Angelo to make some sculptures for my family members. We returned the next day. With the most reverent and honorable attention, Angelo created the most spectacular glass pieces using my father's ashes within the piece. We watched every moment of the creation of that art. It was such a beautiful experience and the kindness of Diane (Angelo's wife) and Angelo were unparelled. We had to leave without our pieces because they take 24 hours to cure, but when they arrived and I presented them to my sister and brother, they were thrilled! Even if one did not wish to add this type of memory to a piece of glass, the artwork and artistry is beyond compare.
