I connected with Secret Romania thru trip.me. Florin and I worked together to put together a 9 day trip with a driver/tour guide. Florin was so easy to work with. He accommodated everything I asked for. He responded so quickly when I sent emails even though we are 10 hours apart. He picked us up from the airport and took us to get something to eat before we settled into our hotel. In the morning we met our tour guide Ana. She was amazing! We drove around the country together for 9 days. She knew the history of everything, wherever we went. She even added a few off the beaten path stops that most people never see. She was so friendly, funny and happy. We had a trip that was far greater than we ever expected! We have traveled a lot, but must say this was one of our favorite trips! I highly recommend Romania and without reservation I highly suggest Florin, Ana and Secret Romania if you are going there. Many of our friends have put this on their bucket list after seeing all our pictures. I told them Secret Romania and Florin Preda are the only way to go!! Cant say enough great things about them. Just trust me! Use them!

Peles Castle was declared a museum in 1953. The building is the most visited museum in Romania that annually more than 300,000 tourists come to admire this special place in the Carpathians Mountains. Peles Castle has a total of 170 rooms and 30 bathrooms, but only 35% of the castle can be visited. The rooms that a visitor should not miss if he gets to the Peles Castle are: the hall of honor, the reception hall, the hall of mirrors, the great hall of arms, the concert hall, the imperial apartment, the Moor room, the Turkish room or the theater. We started off from Bucharest to go to the Salt Mines "Salina Slanic Prahova". It was a very unique experience to visit these huge excavation hundreds of meters below the surface. We then took a short break at a lovely restaurant nearby before heading to the Mogosoaia Palace. This property is an astonishing mixture of influences in the architecture and gardens. Florin has been an excellent guide during that day-long trip. He was a true gentleman, telling us about the history, anecdotes and figures of each place a professional and kind way. Would recommend touring with him whether you are completely new to Romania or willing to know more about this beautiful country.

Details make the difference is something that definitely describes Traian, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a great experience. Definitely would recommend. As for the trip, definitely wear hiking boots, I wore converse and it was a bit more difficult to hike up there. It can also get a bit chilly and weather definitely changes fast, from sunny to cloudy and potentially rainy, so definitely be prepared for that.
