As the first place in Spain to see the sunrise, Minorca is like the country’s ambassador to the morning. Beaches here are beautiful and, surprisingly, relatively empty. The jewel-colored water is a magnet for waterskiers, windsurfers and sailors. Playa De Binigaus beach is perfect for families, while Cala Mitjana is an idyllic spot for romance. Head to the town of Alaoir to nibble on some fresh local cheese or turn back time in the charming fishing village of Fornells.

We've just enjoyed another day out at the Splash water park near Punta Prima. We honestly love this place, and visit whenever we can. There is something for everyone, from little to big kids there's entertainment all day long. We live in Menorca and this is honestly our favourite day out and a definite must for anyone visiting. Today we have been with friends and we had 4 children aged from 3 to 9 years old and they never stopped splashing around in the pools and whizzing down all the slides, from the small ones to super fast ones. We've also been with teenagers who loved it too. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to go round and lots of space for everyone. The restaurant is really good value too, the food is well presented and obviously freshly prepared. All the staff at the park are professional and friendly too. Thanks to everyone at Spash, we have come home exhausted but happy and will definitely be back again very soon!

Very good value for money we felt - there were a few of us, 9 in total - two young children (5 and 3) and two teenagers (16 and 13) plus 4 adults and one grandparent who didn’t swim. We paid €27 per adult and €22 per child 3 and over for entry but everything was free once inside, including fizzy and slush puppy drinks, beer, water, cocktails and spirits drinks. Food was just snack bar food in the water park ie burgers, hot dogs, toasties and chips but all ready within minutes as everything was continually being cooked. Wasps are inevitable near bins and in a warm country, no issue elsewhere. Slides were amazing and never a queue of more than 2 people. On top of a day of being entertained by the fab water slides, there were things for the younger members of our party such as a lazy river, a big pool with a jet ski to climb all over, a younger kids pool with a couple of little slides and spray jets etc. We were also able to use the hotel’s restaurant to eat lunch which was included in the entry price. If you think how much a drink and an ice cream is normally each time, you will soon realise that you get your money’s worth, without even thinking of the full lunch buffet on offer. Compare the day to the cost of other trips run by other companies, it’s easy to see which is better value for money! We drove over from the other side of the island and absolutely would do it again, everyone had such a good time, even gramps who didn’t even get his feet wet!!
