Senggigi is the main tourist strip of the Indonesian island of Lombok, stretched out along several kilometers of the beachfront just to the north of the capital, Mataram. The site of a building frenzy in the late 1990s when Lombok was hyped to be the next Bali, the communal violence of 2000 and the 2002 Bali bombing dealt Senggigi a severe blow, with tourist numbers declining precipitously and many construction projects halted.

Your Trip into the Wild!! Food foraging tour and hike through Lombok Monkey Forest We will show you our culture and beautiful nature in an authentic hike and food foraging/harvesting tour through our little paradise! Your trip will start at Bangsal harbour where we will all meet at Lombok Café at 9am. Your guide will check you in and then take you on a 15 minute drive to Bentek village. This is where we will start our hike in the monkey forest.

Our guide Jayadi was very friendly, helpful, and funny! Kept us laughing the whole trip, sharing all sorts of stories, and often went out of his way to help us in any way possible. ???? recommended for anyone travelling to Lombok

This tour is run in a fully organized private trip. Accompanied by experienced Guides & Porters. Your porters will exhibit superhuman strength in getting all your camping gear up the mountain and is a constant source of amazement to trekkers! All your camping gear is supplied but if you want to take your own lightweight sleeping bag or sleeping mat that’s fine. Most trekkers will carry a small pack or day pack with personal items such as clothes, toiletries and photography gear. Keep the gear to a minimum and don’t take anything up the mountain that you don’t have to!

This was a very nice trip. We were picked on time, the guides and drivers were nice and friendly. We were taken to 3 islands, and to 3 different snorkeling spots (statues, turtles, fish). First two were VERY overcrowded with tourists, the statues are located on a small area, and all tourists are packed over them, the water is kind of muddy, so it was not nice experience. The fish and turtles, however, were quite nice and fun. The islands are okay, considering they are regular touristy islands, and they took you to quite expensive restaurant to have launch. We did all the tour in about 5-6 hours. We did have a good time and the tour was nice, just it was too many people. Maybe the tour should be done at another time, like hour late or earlier :). Also, I need to note, that the same private tour could be bought in any agency in Senggigi for only 700.000 - 1.000.000 idr per 2 persons, so I find this online price to be quite expensive.

Amazing day on the water out in the Gili island , the Turtles are so graceful. This group of 6 women had different levels of abilities and our guide made sure we all got the best out of our tour. The added bonus was being taken to the “haunted house” and they did some amazing photo shoots with us for fun and we got the best surprise with receiving a video of our day out on the water and on land ! Please go and see the amazing waters off Lombok and enjoy a fantastic tour group you will not be dissapppinted ! We will be back!
