Just 45 miles of west of Houston. You'll be flying up to a mile high over the Texas landscape, side-by-side with a certified instructor. Having been in business for over 10 years we pride ourselves on having an impeccable safety record with over 3,000 tandem (dual-place) flights and having never put a scratch on anyone. It's a great adventure for everyone, young and old, groups and singles.
This is one that I did in my bucket list. It was a wonderful experience. To be able to fulfill this year is so awesome. Got a discount on groupon. The price is not bad even without the Groupon discount. The operator was very knowledgeable and professional in making the experience safe and memorable.

The previous reviewer about said it all. The Wharton County History Museum is extremely well done, with informative, professional displays covering the history of Wharton County and nearby areas. Linda Bubela, Assistant Administrator, was able to give me a tour of the museum and was very friendly and informative. This is one of the best county history museums I've visited. A new addition to the facility is the 20th Century Technology Museum. This is a wonderful little museum, with great displays and exciting exhibits for young and old. Mr. and Mrs. Schulze were in the museum when I arrived and we had a nice visit while they showed me the museum. The combination of the History Museum and the 20th Century Technology Museum makes this a must stop for local residents and visitors to Wharton.

This a a fun and informative little museum. Filled with examples of early telephones, radios and record-players, computers, typewriters, home appliances, and more. I enjoyed the display of toy robots and the hand-made bi-plane and flying machine hanging from the ceiling. Mr. and Mrs. Schulze were there when I arrived and were happy to show me around and operated some of the exhibits, such as the player piano and the old Edison phonograph. Fun for all ages and highly recommended.

This is a nice, well-maintained park running alongside the river, near the downtown courthouse square. Many concrete picnic tables, some with a river view, and others higher up near a nice playground, including a large, covered picnic shelter. Observation decks overlook the river. A nice stop for a sack lunch or just a quiet break while shopping. Also visit the Peace Officers Memorial across the street and drive down the road, under the bridge, to see the full-size dinosaur model in Dinosaur Park.

This beautiful, Second Empire/Italianate style courthouse was built in 1889. It was extensively remodeled and enlarged in the 1930's, covering up the original design. The project to restore the structure began in 2003 and took four years to complete. Today it stands as a beautiful example of a classic Victorian-design courthouse, with a fine bell/clock tower and mansard roof. The simple interior has also been restored with oak flooring, dark woodwork and unadorned white walls. One of the two restored courthouses in Texas designed by Eugene T. Heiner.

Untruthful staff, unclean unit. Will never stay there again or recommend this motel to anyone. Staff claimed we had three dogs with us when there was only one. Claimed we left feces and urine on carpet with is totally untrue. The picture the staff supposedly took was of water already on the carpet when we arrived and there was no dog feces on the carpet when we left.
