On a recent stay in Sea Girt, we decided to visit the Lighthouse during its hours on Sunday afternoons. The volunteers stationed in each room, beginning with the foyer, have a deep knowledge of the lighthouse’s interesting history and functions. All presented in a personable manner, questions and comments were welcomed. Most notable to learn that if it wasn’t for a committed group volunteers who understood and valued the significance of this building, it might not be standing here today. Each room contains memorabilia, artifacts and photos. There are photos of each of the lighthouse operators including two who are women. All visitors are free to roam and spend as much time as they choose in the space. Views from the windows are just as appreciated. On the second floor one can climb to the top to experience the commanding views of the sea and neighborhood. The gift shop offers nice quality shirts and other items. Strongly recommended.

SeaGirt is heavenly! Clean beaches, well guarded, facilities and an Awsome snack bar to plus the boardwalk! Yes we may be “ snooty” as some have stated but perhaps one should check out the rules and regulations of each beach before they come and complain! Ive been coming here since I was a kid and now bring my Grandchildren! There is no place I’d rather be!♥️????

Haha, Went with a few friends and met up with a bunch more! Really went for the music and beers but as eventually talked in to sporting the shoes and playing a game! Uggh, I am known for throwing some awesome gutter balls with an occasional strike or two thrown in there. The element of surprise! Easily solved at the front desk when I asked for the bumper, lol! The music was just what I needed, the beers were cold, bartenders friendly, food was decent. We bought a few bar snacks. The place is perfect for adults as well as adults with young kids needing a night out. Had a great time, looking forward to going back!
