After driving thru the Snowys from Centennial the Mrs. and I stopped here for a quick soak in the Hot Spring Pool. It was a fun side stop and I am glad we took the time to do it. Be warned that the changing areas are rather open -- no curtains or dividers on the Men's side for changing or toilets (same for the women's according to the Mrs.) so modesty goes out the window. Luckily visitation was light on the day we were there so we were able to get in and out without being visually violated. The water was warm and soothing. Slippery steps with some algae growth but nothing overwhelming. The water was clear and pleasant. Did not include any pictures of the pool because other folks were in it and I doubt they wanted their swimsuit photos posted here!

The museum is deceiving in all it has to offer! I was thinking it was going to be mostly trains since it has a caboose and the building is a former Union Pacific depit. That is only part of the experience!
Loved the anthropology displays of the ancient peoples of the area and their use of the "atlatl", the mineral displays were wonderful as well.
The downstairs which had a lot of the town history was a pleasant surprise. The items outside were also fascinating, from the coal car to the Sheepwagon!
Glad we made the detour to come visit the museum - well worth the time!

The Snowy Mountain Brewery is one of Wyoming’s oldest breweries. It’s the kind of place you want to stay a while and enjoy an extensive menu deep with pub eats and 8 craft beers on tap, plus seasonal brews—all of them delicious.
Since not many restaurants are open on Sundays in Saratoga, we decided to give the Snowy Mountain Pub a shot as it has been a while, and we were very pleased! The pub menu is casual and yet interesting - we split the prime burger which was VERY good, perfectly cooked, and really a treat with truffle parmesan fries, and a bowl of mac and cheese. Our guest had the wings. The mac and cheese was really something special, as it is homemade with some kind of smoked white cheddar, prosciutto, diced portobello mushroom and roma tomatoes. The prime burger seems small, but it was quite filling. We live nearby and will add both the Pub and the Silver Saddle to our regular rotation when we eat out. The pub is also non-smoking and kid friendly if you don't sit right in the bar.
NOTE TO TRIP ADVISOR: This is a Brewery and categorized as an "Attraction", but it is also a pub/bar, and might better be categorized that way.

This store does an amazing job or merging fashions for men and women, furs and fine art. The art includes paintings, wood carvings, bronzes, jewelry, handpainted glassware and so many more beautiful items. Must have a Platte Valley feel.
The clothing is comfortable, current and affordable. Laura has excellent taste. And the prices at the semi annuals sales can't be beat.

Hack's Tackle and Outfitters offers guided float and wade fishing trips on the upper North Platte River in south-central Wyoming, a stretch of river classified as a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream. We love sharing our knowledge of the area around Saratoga, Wyoming and in particular the many fishing opportunities that exist for fishermen, fisher-women and children, regardless of your experience or fishing preference. We also offer rental equipment including rafts, canoes and fishing rods for those who wish to experience the area on their own. We can also provide you with shuttles from point A to point B. We are proud to stock St. Croix Rods, Ross Reels, Costa sunglasses and everything else the avid angler needs to insure that your fishing or floating experience in our area is the finest.
As a part of our recent trip we scheduled 4 hours of our afternoon to float and fish with a Hack's guide on the river. We caught some fish and enjoyed our time with Pete our guide. We have floated the river before with family and friends but it was nice to leave the "driving" to the guide and just enjoy our leisure time.

This little store in quaint Saratoga, Wy is a must see. The owner has a huge variety of camping and hiking equipment. He also stocks an interesting variety of knives--from tactical to kitchen to little bitty novelty knives. I even saw a blow dart gun! One area of the store is devoted to prepper (survilval) supplies--huge cans of dehydrated foods as well as any color paracord you could want. Do check it out--lots of stuff in a little shop.
