This park provides trails and steep, mountainous ridges for the avid hunter of squirrel and grouse.
My husband has sought out lodges for years all over the US when traveling with his brothers. On a recent visit to Ohio to see family, we were looking for a hotel to stay at on the way home that would be relaxing and easy to social distance. This lodge was PERFECT. The views from our room were amazing, the views from the restaurant were amazing. Every employee was SO nice. We ended up staying 3 nights here and took full advantage of their pool, putt putt course, weekend events like painting a bird house and archery. We also hiked a few trails in the area and they were great. I'm sold on visiting lodges now. Our kids loved our time here and we would love to come back someday. My only complaint is that mini fridges and microwaves need added to all the rooms. I ended up asking for a mini fridge and one was provided, thank goodness. But they need to make it standard in all rooms.

Nice hike! Trail is well maintained and marked well. Down hill all the way then up hill all the way back. Its definitely not too bad though as there are plenty of benches along the way to stop and rest. Beautiful views at the end
