Western Greens is all of 50+ years old and it had fallen into genteel decline. However, the new owners have been putting a ton of time into resurrecting it and have done a wonderful job. It has both long, difficult and short, relatively holes and most fairways are lined with trees that you don't want to get into. If you miss the fairway it will usually cost you a shot. The greens are subtle and rolling, which makes long putts a real test. I have played there for three years and cannot think of a better venue in the area.
2. Berlin Raceway
In 1950 Chester Mysliwiec and family started a racing tradition which he called Berlin Raceway just outside downtown Grand Rapids. In 2011 Don Dewitt purchased the lease and has since renovated the facility into a first class, family oriented, entertainment venue to hold a variety of different events such as Monster Trucks, concerts, Auto Racing, conventions and more.
