Now part of the Gunpowder Falls State Park, Jerusalem Mill and Village is a nice place to visit to catch up on some history, or enjoy the walking trails along the Gunpowder River. The property contains exhibits such as blacksmith, general store, the mill and gift shop as well as a newly restored covered bridge. Local volunteers man the exhibits and share their knowledge and talents. There are areas for picnics, and they usually host small fairs and musical performances. My family enjoys walking our dogs along the trails which wind along the river. The trails are well-maintained and mostly flat.
