Ozarkland General Store has a little bit of everything; stained glass, nostalgic memorabilia, wind chimes, bulk candy to name a few things. The best item in their collection of over 1,500 items, is the taffy. My favorite flavors are watermelon and apple. The taffy is soft, flavorful and addicting. Don’t forget to try the bulk candy at the counter. I always stock up on the chocolate covered raisins.
Overall: This is one of those places that you make a pit stop at to give your body a break from the road.

In 1946 it was at Westminster College that Winston Churchill delivered one of the most significant speeches of his long and illustrious career. That address, formally entitled, The Sinews of Peace, but best known for that evocative phrase, An Iron Curtain has descended across the Continent, effectively marked the beginning of the Cold War and linked, forever, Fulton and Westminster College with Winston Churchill. In the 1960s Westminster College set out to mark what would be the 40th anniversary of Churchill's visit. After due consideration to traditional modes of commemoration, Westminster College settled on the rather more ambitious notion of moving a Christopher Wren designed Church from London. This Church, St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury, had stood in London since 1677 when it replaced an earlier structure that had sat on the same site since the 12th century. This magnificent building, badly damaged during the London Blitz, was moved stone by stone to Westminster's campus and rebuilt to Wren's original specifications.Beneath this Church is the National Churchill Museum itself which through the imaginative and innovative use of technology bring to life the story of Winston Churchill and the world he knew. Recently rebuilt form the ground up the new displays and the permanent exhibition, together with host of associated historical and cultural activities that support it was recognized the by the United States Congress as America's permanent tribute to this great man and formally recognized as America's National Churchill Museum.
My husband was brought up in Missouri and has been wanting to go to the National Churchill Museum for years! I was amazed at how inclusive and detailed this Museum is. If you thoroughly read all of the information in the extensive display areas and visited the Church and the grounds, you would need to plan to be there a full day, for sure. The Museum chronologically follows Churchill's life, also highlighting the assembling of the church itself and Churchill's famous "Iron Curtain" speech on the Westminster College campus in 1946. This is a very educational venue. Highly recommended!

Car museum that displays an 1895 Haynes, one of two in existence.
Went to the Fulton, MO area to do a little sightseeing. On the list was the Auto World Car Museum. What an amazing collection of vintage cars inside this building. Loved the way they were displayed throughout the warehouse. Lots of staged areas with enormous blown up photos that go perfectly with each little scenario. I'm not big on antique cars, but this display took my breath away. Would highly recommend. Great value ...

Locatad in historic downtown Fulton's Brick District, Art House gallery is open five days a week. Enjoy shopping a variety of paintings, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and hand-made greeting cards hand-made by regional artists. The Art House hosts classes teaching painting, ceramics, jewelry making, drawing, fiber arts, as well as other events, or rent our space for your event.
I dropped by Fulton, Missouri's Art House the other day and was again impressed with the quality of the work throughout the gallery. I was fortunate to find, what I felt was the best piece on the wall, "Ellie" and much to my surprise was able to meet and talk with the artist, Deborah Lee, at length, about that picture and the others she now has on display. "Ellie" is an "impressionist lover's dream", breakfast scene that is rich in color and plot. Near to this outstanding piece are Ms. Lee's nostalgic "pick-ups" that are simply the coolest pictures imaginable. And, at this time, the Art House, in my estimation, has some of the greatest art they have ever have had in the gallery.
